TagFix is a Shopify app that helps merchants manage product tags in bulk (appending tags, spot-deleting a tag, and finding/replacing tags across a catalog). This policy explains what data TagFix accesses, why, and how it's handled.
TagFix requests the write_products permission scope from Shopify. Using this, it reads and writes product tags (along with each product's ID and title, so results can be shown to you) via the Shopify Admin API. Tag data is used only to carry out the bulk tag operation you request and is not stored in a database — it's held in memory only for the duration of that request.
To stay installed and authenticated with your store, TagFix stores a standard Shopify app session, which includes:
This session data is deleted when the app is uninstalled from your store.
TagFix does not request access to, and does not collect, store, or process, customer (shopper) personal data — including customer names, emails, addresses, order history, or payment information. TagFix has no storefront-facing component and does not interact with customers directly.
TagFix does not sell or share any data with third parties. Data is used solely to provide TagFix's tag-management features to the merchant who installed the app.
Session data is retained only while the app remains installed. When a merchant uninstalls TagFix, Shopify's shop/redact webhook notifies the app, and the corresponding session data for that store is permanently deleted from TagFix's database.
